Journaling Bible Flip Through

Just a quick post...another video, this time a flip through of my Journaling Bible to date. I talk a lot about where to get one from, what products I use a lot of and how I use them, and a little about how I decide what to journal about and such...enjoy!

Show Us Your Stuff September Challenge!

Here is my LO for the Show Us Your Stuff September Challenge. The LO had to be black + white + one other colour + a hand made embellishment. I tried some new techniques on this one too, which was loads of fun. I must say, I was stretched a bit with this challenge...to not be able to use kraft cardstock as my background just about killed me, and I thought I would extend myself even further and whack two photos on the page instead of one! But I do like how it has ended up :)

If you want to see the process for this LO then you can!!! Here's the Youtube video for it :)

Enjoy!

I've been Scrapping!

So, it's been a while since I posted any scrapping related stuff...okay, scrap that...unless you were following me from way back, you won't have seen any! Because I revamped this little blog and hid all the old posts (hehehe...evil laugh), so I thought I would just quickly pop up a few of my more recent LO's :)

"Tiny Obsession"

Try standing on these suckers in the middle of the night...it's like lego...painful!

"Lovely Little Ladybug"

These photo's are a bit old...I'm playing catch ups!

"Adore"

 "Queen Of Faces"

Seriously, this girl can pull some crazy faces...then again, so can her sister...then again, so can I!

"Stop the Clock!"

I did this one this morning...I want the clock to stop...since when were my baby girls so grown up!!! Photo courtesy of my Mum, Shirley...Love this pic :) I actually had it printed massive, but now I can't find a frame for it lol.

"Together"

This last one of the hubby and me was one I did specifically for the Hip Kit Club Design Team Call...it was a last minute decision to enter...the cut off was tonight (or tomorrow sometime here in Aus), but I thought, why not...so, fingers crossed ;)

In other news, I'm still fighting with my slooooooowwwww internet connection...but hopefully soon I will have more video's up on my Youtube channel...process videos and the like :)

Anyway, catch you on the flip side!

Another youtube video...yay!

So, as my title says, I have finally managed to post a second youtube video...unfortunately our internet here at home is Suuuuupppeeeerrrr slllloooooooowwwwwww...so it literally takes all day (and sometimes all night) to upload anything...and that's not even in HD! Which is crazy ridiculous. I'm busy trying to upload one as we speak, and I have another lined up, which I will try and upload next week...

Anyways...here it is...enjoy :)

Oh...and stay tuned, I have my Layout for the show us your stuff September Challenge to share soon too :)

123 Challenge Blog Scrapping Challenge

My my my...I'm a slacker, aren't I?!? It's been ages since I last blogged...sorry about that.

Anyway, the point of this particular post is to display my entry for the 123 Challenge Blog's September challenge.

Something that I used to do before my second daughter was born was to enter a lot of scrapping challenges, and I was also on a lot of scrapbooking Design Teams. It's been almost 7 years since I did either, and I thought it was high time I started doing it again. I am so far behind with scrapping my girls albums, and challenges are an awesome way of garnering inspiration!

So this month the challenge is to use all the following on a layout:

Now, none of these things are particular favourites of mine. I love coloured pencils, but usually not on a layout, so this particular challenge was, well, challenging to say the least. Anyway, here's my entry:

(Materials used: Bazzill cardstock, Basic Grey Soliel papers and alpha stickers, Kaisercraft Flowers, gems and wood veneers, random dollar store sparkly washitape, AC thickers, Heidi Swapp chipoboard alphas (I think!), prismacolor pencils, versamark ink for edges, Marvy writing pen, Heidi Swapp Project Life journaling card).

And there you have it folks...my first foray back into the scrapping challenge world :)

Right, now I'm off to scrap again...I have a lot of catching up to do.

This weeks Bible journaling adventures...

So, in my last post I bombarded you with words...lots and lots of words. This week I'm going to bombard you with pictures...lots and lots of pictures...

Since starting my Journaling Bible adventure, not even a week ago, things have taken off. Now, instead of reading the Word as something that I just have to fit in, it is something I think about ALL THE TIME! I can't wait to get into it, and God is revealing things in His Word to me that I never noticed before.

I encourage you, if reading the Word is "just another thing I have to fit into my day," then purchase a journaling Bible (you can get them as cheap as AUS$30 online at places like http://koorong.com and http://bookdepository.com and many other places...I think they are much more readily available in the US, but don't let that hold you back), grab some pens and stickers (or just pens if that's what you like) and start journaling through the Word...best decision I EVER made. Of course, you can still do it without a journaling Bible; just use your regular Bible and a notebook. That's how I started out before my journaling Bible arrived. Of course, you can jump on over to http://illustratedfaith.com for plenty more hints, tips and inspiration :)

Anyway, now that I've thrown a few words at you, here are lots of pics of this weeks adventures in the Word...

This is the other side of the first Titus page I did in the last post...

A bit of chalking and inktense pencils...

Proverbs 29:18

Exodus 32:1

Philippians...oh man I love Philippians. This page focuses on Philippians 1 vs 20

Canvases are fun too :)

More Philippians...Philippians 2 vs 5 - 11

Just to show you can journal ANYWHERE...including when you're waiting for your car to have new tyres put on...

So, Philippians looks a bit full...Philippians 4 is FULL of God gems...I thought I had it all covered, but then realised I missed a rather important one...

Philippians 4:13...I had to add it on vellum over the top of the passage (it lifts like a flap) just to make it fit...I must say, I do love how my Philippians pages turned out...and best of all, I gained some wisdom, strength and insight into God's Word while doing it.

If you journal in your Bible, leave me a comment and a link to your blog...I love to see how everyone else expresses worship to the Father.

Much love
Suse xxx
